Hospitals and Communities Moving Forward
with Patient- and Family-Centered Care:

An Intensive Training Seminar
Partnerships for Quality & Safety

“Excellent! Of enormous value to all in the health care field.”

SEMINAR GOALS INCLUDE:

  • Gain understanding of patient- and family-centered care.
  • Explore examples of excellence and innovation in patient- and family-centered policy, program, practice, professional education, and facility design.
  • Learn how to integrate patient- and family-centered concepts within a hospital's quality and safety agendas and public reporting of quality data.
  • Create action plans for patient- and family-centered change; individualized for each institution.

“Very thorough and comprehensive. Most dedicated faculty I've ever experienced. Excellent Institute staff and faculty.”

WHAT MAKES THIS SEMINAR SO UNIQUE:

  • Faculty review of pre-seminar hospital self-assessment.
  • Individualized planning time with faculty.
  • Take-home resources for hospital and facility presentations, orientation, and in-service sessions.
  • Post seminar follow-up telephone technical assistance with Institute staff.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

We urge hospitals and health care systems to send an interdisciplinary team of participants that includes administrative leaders, physicians, nurses and other clinical staff, as well as patient and family leaders whose primary association with the hospital is as consumers of health services. This team also may include health care design professionals and other consultants working within the field.
