Webinars
The Institute for Family-Centered Care offers webinars on a variety of topics. Webinars are generally an hour and a half, and include presentations by Institute faculty members, followed by the opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss the topic. The Institute's webinars offer an economical way to enhance your organization's understanding and practice of patient- and family-centered care. Pay for one call-in line and convene a group in one room to participate on that line. An Intensive Training Seminar

The Hospitals and Communities Moving Forward with Patient- and Family-Centered Care seminar provides three and a half days of comprehensive and practical sessions designed to help administrators, physicians, nurses and other clinical staff, patients, and families become effective agents for patient- and family-centered change in their institutions. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills to partner with patients and families in improving the experience of care and clinical outcomes. Seminar attendees will learn strategies to transform hospital systems to address the challenges and recommendations discussed in the Institute of Medicine's report, Crossing the Quality Chasm: A New Health System for the 21st Century.

The International Conference on Patient- and Family-Centered Care
The 4th International Conference on Patient- and Family-Centered Care will showcase innovative programs that are dedicated to collaboration among health professionals, patients, and families. The conference will provide opportunities to address emerging issues in patient- and family-centered care, both at the systems and individual levels. It will include presentations from hospitals, primary care, specialty ambulatory settings, community based programs, public health and mental health agencies, patient- and family-led organizations, schools of medicine, nursing, and other health and helping professions. The conference will feature a variety of formal and informal meetings, including plenary sessions, concurrent breakouts, round table discussions, workshops, a video theatre, and poster presentations.
